Meet Muzzy. He's a chocolate lab....just over 2 years old now. His dad was a silver lab, and his mom a yellow. All of the pups were chocolate.

Great dogs guys, I know how much a person and family can love them.
This post makes me almost sad. Hunter has been with us since we got this house and were married. He'll be 11 this winter. It makes me sad to think that one day likely soon, he won;t be here to greet us when we come home and or to watch over and protect our children. Although he is a yellow lab/golden retriever cross he has never retrieved. Instead he has been a laid back dog that never roams or leaves the yard, never bothers any forms of wildlife (with the exception of bears and coyotes) and only ever barks when there is a bear on the property or within his nose's range. He's irreplaceable and will one day leave a huge hole in our hearts. In Apr. of 2010 we decided to get a pup for him to mentor. (LOL) We decided we'd need one some day and there would be no better dog for it to learn to ropes from than Hunter. Here is he and Julie shortly after we got her.

This past spring..........He's a big old dude that dwarfs her.

She is definately learning from him and is turning into a real good family pet and yard dog too.

I'm pretty confident my wife only married me for my dogs. Both goldens, and both have completely opposite personalities. Our female (smaller) is 2 years old and is so relaxed that some days you forget she's in the house. Our male (92 lbs at 10 months old) is the complete opposite. 110 mph everywhere he goes, has more of a personality than most people, and would give up his life for my wife.

Here is Harley.....he is the comedian of the house. Also thinks he is about 3 ft taller and 100 lbs heavier than he is.

Here is my boy. Bodey is going on 11 and the best dog I've ever had. He is by my side no matter where I am.

He drives me crazy, but after thinking I was going to have to get rid of him I am sure glad he's around.
