My wife and girls went mushroom hunting with my dad yesterday and we managed to find 50. We had a great time. I found one old shed but left it.

This afternoon I walked back to check cameras and decided to take a look around a tree that just looked like a mushroomy spot. I didn't spot any morels but when I saw this turned up beam I knew I had finally matched up the 12 point whose left side I had found several weeks ago. I've walked within 40 yards of this shed at least twice as I looked for it.
Can you spot it?

Nice finds! Generally speaking what area for mushrooms? I'm thinking the warm up coming they will be out in full force.

We have been picking and frying mushrooms here in Oklahoma for about 2 weeks now. Southern facing slopes around dead and dying trees, mostly elms.
