Silly question

Is bow season still open this weekend during the special antlerless hunt? I'm pretty sure it is, but pretty sure doesn't mean 100% sure.

Just watch out for incoming slugs! It can be scary sitting in a tree hearing the wizzing of slug go by. I didn't think too many people in are area would take part in the special season but there were a ton of people out last year.

No special season here,

Last year had a shot ruined by the orange army. I'm sure they didn't mean too, had no clue i was there as they strolled by. just seems like a bad mix too me, slug hunters and camo'd bow hunters. plus it's going on at the tail end of the rut. lot's of temptation running around, plus i think upsets breeding. I mean it's bad enough you got chase her till she's ready, but then too have someone shootin' at her too? who needs that kind of pressure?

Is there anyway to find out if your county sold out of tags. I checked the DNR web page and it says 0 tags available. But does that mean no gun hunters?

If I understand correctly the season is only open if there are antlerless tags available after a certain date. So when did Jasper sell out? Is there a way to find this out?

If I was in the stand this weekend I think I would be wearing some orange. I agree with the temptaion shots hope the dnr our out thick.

Here in Kansas, bowhunters are REQUIRED to wear orange during any of the firearms seasons
