Worst beers

Cheap pilsners and lagers need to be ice cold.
Like Seth said, after a few, they should start tasting better (or you don't notice as much).

Busch Light is my everyday staple. Its a great beer I just like to keep in my hand while at home or working on an outdoor project.

I will never drink Old Style again because of "Nickel Draw Night" at the Stein every Wednesday while in college at UNI. There is a reason we called it "Old Stool"

If I'm feeling like a rich dinner beer to go with a grilled steak it would be either Guiness Stout, Beck's dark or Sam Adams Boston Lager, I love the bitter finish on either of those.

Cheap Beer...Busch Light, though I have been known to go with the Milwaukee's Best Light on beer pong nights.

Best Beer...hmmmm. I'm a big fan of Bud Heavy, but have come to know Fat Tire on tap VERY well.

Worst Beer...Heineken could disappear without me giving a s*^t!

Best Buzz Beer...toss up between Natty Ice and Bud Ice. Be careful with these guys.

When I was a young lad we used ta could buy generic beer for 99 cents a 6 pack of bottles. They had little rhymes under the cap. Bottled buy Falstaff. It must have been good enough cause we drank a bunch of 'em.

Trust me to make this more difficult than it really is...

Best Beer - depends on the season, October thru March I like heavy dark European stouts and brown Belgium ales. In no particular order... Mackesson Triple Stout, St Bernardus Apt 12, Black Flag Porter, Nostradamos Brown Ale, Delerium Noel Brown Ale. During the warmer months I switch over to Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat.

Best Micro Brew - Uncommon Stout and Imperial Stout brewed at the Bent River BRewery over in the Quad Cities. Also the Blue Cat makes a mean Coriander and orange summer brew.

Best Cheap Beer - Schmidt

Best get happy fast beer - LaBatts

Worst Beer on the face of the Planet - Steel Reserve

I really feel sorry for all you young guys growing up with "light" beer everywhere.I can remember when there was no such thing. In everything else, "light" means less everything, especially taste. Would you eat a "light" steak? Why would you guzzle a case of busch light when you can drink a six-pack of Bud heavy and get the same results? Is that cheaper? Best everyday beer- Budweiser. Best ever beer-Leienkugel's Big Butt. Talk about instant buzz. Worst beers -Hamm's or Rolling Rock. Course even they are better than any light beer.

Beer in my fridge everyday - Mich Golden Light

Best Cheap beer - The Champaign of Bottled Beer (High Life) or Premium but it's got to be ice cold and smoking when you pop the top.

Favorite beers - Fat Tire, Moose Drool, New Castle or about a hundred other micro brews.

Worst beers - Rolling Rock, Colt 45 double malt or Old Enlglish 800. Drank way to many of all of these in my college days.

I'm sitting at work at 7:12am and i want a beer!!!

Won't drink it, even when I'm in Mexico! Ever wonder why beer is in dark bottles? Beer reacts with light to "go skunky". Corona has extra chemicals in it to prevent it from becoming "light struck".

I have done lots of homebrewing in the past.

Or maybe the slice of pizza you grabbed when you were leaving "The Swine"? That is what we called that UNI landmark.

Sorry, potential hijack:
I've got a good story about FAC at The Swine. My dorm used to go down for FAC for dollar pitchers. One guy stood on his chair, attempting to chug a pitcher, while the rest of us chanted, "Chug, chug, chug!" About two thirds of the way through it, he choked, leaned forward, and refilled the pitcher. He sat it down on the table. Since it was mid afternoon, most of what came back into the pitcher was beer, only a few remnants of lunch swirling around. Another member of the dorm was from a very poor family, so he "knew the value of a dollar". He said for enough money, he'd chug a glass from the picture. Everybody dug a dollar out of their pockets (had to be less than twenty bucks) while he "stirred" the pitcher to fill his glass. Most had to look away as he lifted the glass to his lips to drink it. He got the job done, though. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif

Worst Beer: From my time playing baseball in Belgium, "Duvel" aka "the devil". Three of these and you were chasing cars and pissing on hubcaps. Nasty and like 18% alcohol for a beer.

I'll answer the original question and stay away from the debate of best beer, other saying the best is cold and someone bought it for me!

Favorite cheap beer? Busch Light

Worst beer I ever had? Billy Beer. How many of you remember that and were dumb enough to try it like I did? I tried a Fauking beer once too (don't quote me on the spelling but it is close). Made in the Quad Cities and the name was the seller. "Hey, I think I am ready for another Fauking Beer." Not much better than Billy Beer.
