Gundog is correct, just hold "slightly" high. However, if Winke is correct and bucks drop between 25 - 40 yards more than out past 40, a 6 inch drop at 35 yards puts you in the kill zone in my mind. 8 inches might be pushing it slightly but my guess is that arrow still ends up in the lungs and/or heart.
I actually think that single pins, because of bucks dropping to launch at the sound of the shot, simplify shooting between 25-35 yards. It's like an automatic adjustment to a degree.
