Sit or Stand

i sit most of the time except for first light or the last hour of the day

I stand the majority of the time but have been practicing taking shots sitting down more often. I like to know I make the shot whenever I have to - standing and waiting or sitting and resting.

Guys, My treestand is too comfortable to be standing. We have 3 different seasons in Tennessee. Archery, black powder, and high powered rifle. I am usually sitting during muzzleloader and rifle.

If you dont mind send some of those monster's my way. I really do enjoy this site.

I'm surprised by how many of you stand! I'd locked up like a good bird dog if I did that...must be the getting old thing. I'm sitting most of the time.

Like Shredder I stand most of the time, especially key times. I've never shot a deer sitting. I like to be ready to adjust my position for the shot since I'm never certain where the anticipated shot will be and standing best permits that. Also I really back up against the tree when a shooter appears to help hide and help steady myself.

I prefer ground hunting my #1 option but the times I've been in the tree I prefer to sit. I get to fidgetty standing for any period of time. Hense the name Wiggleworm!!
