Damn what a fish great catch what's the guess on the weight 55-60 pounds? And glad to here he went back

Not sure if it was pregnant or what. Was just about 70 on the scale. Extremely fat belly I love flathead- just can't bring myself to keep one that large. Want to catch him again in a few years

Awesome thread. Ever get any big turtles on your bank lines?

Use PVC tubing about 8' long and about 1.000" diameter. Cut one end to a
Sharp point- drill 2 holes in the other end. I use 200lb line (purchased from Mudbum store). And also use their circle hooks. I don't put any weight on there and push the pole into the bank so the bluegill or bullhead is just below the water surface. I haven't caught any turtles but I've caught 1
Blue Herron crane so far.
