Dad and I decided to make our first outing last weekend. Got on the lake and within 2 hours, had two in the boat. They were nearly back to back, as Dad still had his bait tangled in the net as he netted my fish. Off the water at 8:30pm and decided with our good fortune we should go try a new lake the next morning. I stuck one on the 3rd turn of the 8 after a few hours. She was a short, fat fish. 2 for 2 on the season! It was nice to get out, and a pretty good 8 hours of fishing for Iowa.

Looks like a pretty good weekend for 'skis in Iowa. Hoping to get down to Big Creek to give it a go before the algae bloom sets in.
