Smoke for Scent Control?

Has anyone ever heard of this or tried this? A small smoker that produces smoke to cover all your hunting clothes and gear. Some swear by it. I would think deer might be suspicious at suddenly smalling smoke in their woods. Another gimmic, to catch some hunter's cash?? Maybe?

I've heard of it. I wouldn't buy it but most people in my neck of the woods burn wood in outside boilers to heat their homes from mid Oct into late May. I've often thought of taking my gear, putting it on a stick and hanging it above the chimney when the pine's a blazing away. But..........I'm sure I'd smell like smoke myself after wearing it and I don't want to be locked out of the house for smelling like campfire.

Ive heard of it.
I would rather go for the scent elimanation sprays and trying to keep smells away from my clothes. HS makes scent waffers as well. I like the fresh earth one. I take 1 and throw it in my tote with my hunting clothes about once every 2weeks.

I party hunt with a group of guys that like to sit around the campfire for lunch each day. They consistently get picked off. I have better results eating lunch in the cold.

I've heard of this...sounds dumb to me. Making yourself smell like anything that doesn't truly belong in the woods just can't work...

I think smoke could work, not sure. I use my own invention from www.truscent.com where I put cedars and pine needles in the bags and put in dryer OR store in a bin- I've swore by that method for years and aside from selling a product, I absolutely swear i get scented far less compared with any other methods.

Dont buy it... for years I left my clothes outdoors and my woodstove smoke occasionally got on them.. It may not alarm them like human odors, but it will alert them THEN they will catch your scent once they are alert.

Go as scent free as possible, since I began keeping my clothes in plastic container 100% of the time I'm not hunting, together with scent lock I have had mature deer make circles around me without any detection.. Provided its not too humid outside..
