Do you think these calls are just the latest way to get hunter's money? Or could there be anything to them?

Snort wheeze can be done without a call and sounds more realistic that way......the growl, I am sure it will work for some this fall but don't think it will be the latest and greatest call out there.
Companies have to change things to appeal to the gimick guru's that have the latest stuff. Without the new products, sales go down each year.
Look at the Encore Pro Hunter for example....same gun as far as shootability but just a few new features and name and you have quite a few people buying a new gun. Same can be said for the new compounds.
To answer the question, I think it is a new money maker for the industry with at least an ounce of validity as it mimicks a deer vocalization.

My new buck roar call from Primos just came today. It is what I have been looking for for 20 years.
I have been hearing bucks in rut making these vocalizations for years and trying to imitate it with a regular grunt call without much luck. This buck roar call has the right tone and doesn't go to a high pitch when you really get on it hard.
I have had some success by doing a snort wheeze with my mouth but with the tube on the buck roar, I can make the same sound just a lot louder.
I for one cannot wait to try this out, I have been wondering why no one has come out with a call that can effectively make these sounds before now. Call it a gimmick if you want. I am optimistic about seeing some results from it.

I agree with Iowa1...I really can't wait to get my hands on one of those Primos Buck Roars..I must be one of those gadget gurus! I have always been looking for that "all in one" deer call! I know my brother has the MAD Buck Growl and it really just sounds like a souped up grunt..I've been hearing better things about the Roar.
