Snort Wheeze

Does anyone on here have any good recommendation on a snort wheeze call? And.. what are your experiences with them? I have heard some good comments about adding them to the beginning of a rattling sequence. I was actually looking online for a snort wheeze call when I found the "GROWL" call made by MAD calls, which in turn lead to my previous post "What do you think".

I love the snort wheeze for the right situation. it is definately a dominant call. I also use it before I rattle and have had pretty good success by painting the picture like that.
It is also the call I use when trying to pull a buck off a doe. I would definately add it to the arsenal and MAD calls is where I got mine.

It's simple to do yourself. A few huffs of air and a hissing sound through your teeth. The buck I killed last year stopped solid in his tracks; came in to 4 yards off my tree when he heard it. It was pretty cool, not sure I would have shot him if I hadn't got caught up in the moment.

Another good trick for the bag.

Just like River Boy mentioned, practice using your own sounds. I experimented a couple times last year once I had filled my buck tag. The second time I didn't call in the buck but he definitly was curious. The first time I watched as a doe and 3 bucks come chasing through the woods ( two small 4-6 pts. and one nice 10 pt.) The 10 pt. was running back and forth between the doe and the two smaller bucks. They worked up to a bean field when I gave the call a try. The two smaller bucks just about came out of their skin and bolted a way. The 10 ptr. just stopped and turned to look real slow towards my direction. He slowly walked to the timber edge and snorted back. He stayed shortly and during that time the doe and 2 small bucks took off. He turned to search for them and I again did the snort/ wheeze and he turned again and in a short time gave the same call back again. He eventually walked off with no idea I was there. I definitly felt more at ease trying it since I knew I couldn't shoot him even if he came in. But I do know now that I can do the call on my own and not worry about spooking a deer. Give it a try.

In case you don't know the mad snort wheeze is just an enhancer which i like alot more than just using my mouth because it sounds louder like when the bucks i have heard sound.
Definately get it down with your mouth though and the call will just make your mouth call louder.
