Snow cover and shed hunting

I have to be in Iowa this weekend and I am thinking about coming down a day early to hit some of my old stomping grounds for shed hunting. I hear there is a ton of snow. I would like to hear some opinions on if it would be worth it to put on some boots and hit the woods. Just how much snow is there this year in north and central Iowa?

I was out for an hour on Saturday and found 9 if that helps! A lot of snow has melted due to the temps we had on Thursday--Saturday. I'd be more concerned about ice and the temp rivers/lakes in the fields now.

From Charles city east to prairie Du Chien there is a ton of snow. So much it has shut me down. So there is alot up here, farther south you go, the less there is.

We got about 5 inches more in Des Moines.

i was out sunday southern iowa not much snow but alot of water only found one nice shed

Doesnt hurt to look. I'd go if I was you. Good exercise even if you dont find any.
