Does anyone know of a place around Ames to Fort Dodge that has any snowmobile trails? I know alot of snow will disappear in the next couple days but I was hoping for 1 last ride on the sleds. Thanks

No trails that I'm aware of however highway 17 has some great ditch riding opportunities. That will take ya into Webster City. Webster use to have a snowmobile club back when I had a sled and they would groom the river and ditches. I'm pretty sure the club is no longer but most of the highly traveled ditches throughout Hamilton county are marketed. Good luck with your ride, Ames hit a bit higher temps than they were expecting today and snow is def melting.
