harvest tag. and to answer the next question, there is paper towel in the nostrils, to dry them out. the mount isn't quite finished, just had to get a pic up....i know there is a guy bursting at the seams to see it

I know what they are, why are they on the finished product? Just wondered if there was a story behind leaving them on, or is it still at the shop and you haven't actually brought him home yet so the tag is still there? Just curious.
 
This buck is not finished. It is drying right now and the tag on the G-3 is a piece of masking tape with the name of the lucky hunter. There is plastic in the nostrils while the mount dries and it still hasnt been painted. I will send Tee-roy a pic when it is finished.

This is one of the first times I've been able to see him since we dropped him off at the taxidermist. I will say, I am LOVING the results so far. Can't wait to get it and show it off at the Classic.
 
i can just picture camokid's next avatar pic.....that hog, hanging on the wall, and camokid,hanging from its neck, hugging it like a little kid hugging his teddy bear

Well, we got 'the call' tonight. Taylor's deer is done, and ready to pick up ! Should have it back home early next week. We did change his avatar, as you can see a few posts back, but I'm having a heck of a time making it look good. I'll work on it later. Gotta go down to my man cave, and make some preparations !
