Just out of curiosity, what size of lens are were you using for these??

The eagle was taken with a cheap 500 prime lens on a Canon T3. The others were with a Tamron 150 - 600 on a Canon T3I. Just got the Tamron and it's a learning curve but so far I really like it.

Great pics Jay, thanks!! FWIW, I am about 98% sure I saw some sandhill cranes near the Des Moines River in SE Iowa recently. That is one of the very few times I have ever seen them over in this area of the state.
