First off, I want to sincerely thank everyone here that has purchased knives and inquired about them them with me.:way: I do wish however to cover a few things.
This is a hobby for me, not a full time business. I want to keep being able to offer a nice quality knife that not only is the owner proud of, but me also. If I have to start cranking out one after the other and not putting my heart into it because I'm too busy to take a breath for fear I'll lose a sale, then it becomes mentally consuming and not fun anymore. So when I say I can't or won't build a certain type of knife, please don't take it personal, I'm just trying to keep my sanity and offer a quality product.
Custom orders......As a general rule, I don't take them. I have on occasion in the past for a special circumstance, but as said before, I like to stick with building the type of knives I'm comfortable with.
Listing knives for sale.....Most my knives are spec knives. I build a knife speculating that it can be sold. They are first listed on my Facebook page, then they are usually listed here on IW. I do however give people that have expressed a sincere interest in a knife through PM's first dibbs on a new knife. Then if they don't want it, it gets listed for sale.
File work on blades......I add decorative file work as I think will look good.
I'm always trying something new so when it comes to this decoration, it's my judgement call.
Use and care......These knives are built to be used. All I ask is use them as intended. Knives are not screw drivers or pry bars! Keep the blades oiled and they will last a lifetime.
Thanks for reading this message and your patience if you are waiting for a knife.
