My son Mark bagged his first deer last night. We had determined to take the first decent crack at a mature doe or mature buck as his school and soccer schedule would limit the time we could go in the youth season. After about an hour and a half, 2 does and their fawns appeared and he dropped one of the does with a spine shot. (He was a little nervous and his aim was high.)
Please pardon the lack of a field photo, let's just say that the youngster needs some experience making finishing shots and by the time he was done that the head and neck of that doe resembled swiss cheese! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif So I passed on the field photo, this time!! Nevertheless, he is happy and we will get geared back up for bow season, as that is what we enjoy more anyway.
