Brooklyn Man Standing Ground For Second Amendment
A Brooklyn </ST1

<O

Michael Littlejohn, a Revolutionary War buff, owns a replica of the same gun used to fight the British in the war, a handmade flintlock rifle. Littlejohn, 50, claims the gun is the last legal gun a person can have without registration in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

In fact, Littlejohn’s rifle does require that the bullet and gunpowder be loaded separately and seems legal. Even so, it doesn’t matter according to Littlejohn because he owns no gunpowder or bullets for the gun.

"And yet Mayor Bloomberg is driven crazy by my flintlock gun - the one that won the American Revolution."

The NYPD does not agree with Littlejohn’s assessment of the rifle. They still want it registered.

Police found out about the $825 replica gun when Littlejohn left a receipt for it in a Staples and another customer called authorities.

The NYPD’s lead detective has orders to follow up on the case from the higher ups, Littlejohn’s lawyer Joyce David said.

David said the NYPD is not trying to have Littlejohn arrested, but he may receive a summons if he doesn’t cooperate with authorities.

Just like the soldiers in the Revolutionary War, Littlejohn is ready to fight, and said he would sue to protect his Second Amendment rights.<O
