My two Cousins are wanting to get into bow hunting. What's a good bow for them to start with. There not wanting to pay over $400, and all the bows i would buy are over $600

I know PSE has quite a few different packages for around $400. They are a great starter bow for the money. If they want a used one ArcheryTalk has some good deals most of the time. Good luck

yep, Archerytalk is a spot to check. Along with your local pro shop. They should have a great selection of used stuff now, and with the 07's arriving, last years stuff just got cheaper.

diamond bows would be a good starter, their victory bow looks pretty sweet.

fred bear, reflex, also economical brands.

ebay and archerytalk classifieds, as well as classifieds on other hunting sites are a good place to get a bow 2-3 years old, at bargain prices. sometimes brand new 05 or 06 bows can be had for $400 or less.

i might be wrong but arent the new fred bear bows all under 400? i started on a bear and i think its a great starter bow

Not to hijack your topic but if you're interested I've got an '04 Hoyt Ultramag I need to get rid of after the season. If you're interested pm me and I'll give you some details.
