Yesterday I made it out after over a week. I'm in the stand only a half hour and I see another bowhunter walking the wooded edge towards me. As he got close I didn't recognize him so I asked in a rather stern voice "what the hell he was doing". I know I scared the crap out of him by his reaction and if I wasn't so mad at the time I would have busted out laughing.
But he became defensive right away and said he would leave after he finished his hunt. WHAT!! On my way down the tree he must have been reconsidering his last statement cause when I hit the ground and raised my stern voice several decibles and told him he better head to his vehical right now and forget about anymore hunting. He did a U-turn and walked back from where he came from. I should have followed him out and took down his plates since the hunt was already screwed up.
What I really wanted to do was land a snot bubbler right between his eyes to put him in LALA land for a bit then have him explain the the CO why he was there. But these days I would end up in more trouble then him for that.
