Steyr Rifle Scope Question

I'm looking for some opinions on what brand and magnification of scope to outfit a gun I just purchased and I thought this would be a good place to post the question. I just bought a Steyr 25-06 Mountain Rifle with a 20" barrel. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance for your input.
 
Flat shooting SOB right there. The amount of money you want to spend will be the biggest factor. Something with at least 14X magnification for sure. Good luck!
 
Bump - any help would be appreciated. I'm looking to spend between $400 - $600.

I would look really hard at vortex, their warranty and customer service is top notch just like all of their products!.
If you compared a 600 dollar vortex to a 600 dollar leop you would be amazed.
Im running a burris on my 25-06 and I couldn't ask for a better scope

X2 on Vortex. I put a "low end" Vortex (Diamondback) scope on my daughter's 7mm-08 and that thing is awesome. Hard to beat Vortex!
