I know this is a weird one but; I have heard from several guys that hunt in an area that I hunt, that they have seen a mule deer buck there this year. I am trying to get in contact with the c.o. in this county to get his idea of where it came from.
Question 1: Is it legal to shoot with an Iowa deer tag?
Question 2: Have they been seen recently in other Iowa counties?
Question 3: Where did it come from?
Just thought someone else might find this interesting or might know about it.
 
Are you in Western Iowa? I've seen mulies less than 100 miles from the border, along the Platte River.
 
I've had a confirmed sighting of a mule deer buck about 8yrs ago in central Iowa. Got the park ranger and he saw it too.

So, I'm not surprised someone has spotted one but on the other hand I don't know if it's legal to shoot it or not.

I know of 2 that have been seen in up here in the northeast corner in the last 15 years.

I believe they're legal, the license says deer doesn't mention species.

Im in South west Nebraska and i seen a Mule doe last year. I couldnt belive it. And the hills are about 10 miles away. I was stunned!
