Strangest thing Found/Saw while hunting

I got a kick out of this post from a while ago and thought it may be kind of interesting to see what anyone else has found/saw while hunting. You could also add a blunder of your own if you so desire. Anyway.....let's hear'em.

Nothing to far out of the ordinary, except I did find some rifle shells on state property. Also found while out shed hunting a pair of womens underwear and bra.Thought something might be wrong until I found a empty package.

Mine is similar to Deerstalkin's find, cept it was before I even got into the woods. I pulled into a parking lot on state land and the truck next to me was a rockin and had that frosted glass on it. Other than that a few old meth labs.

Here's a good one !! I was in a stand during bow season but before fall turkey season when a local law enforcement agent dressed in camo came and sat down with his back up against a tree facing the picked corn field holding a shotgun. After a good 1/2 hour he got up and relieved himself and sat back down. By this time I figured his scent has messed me up for the day. I gave him a little whistle to get his attention and I climbed on down. He just about messed his pants. He could hardly speak. I asked him what he was hunting for and with a quivering voice he said "squirrels". We'll I pretty sure thats not the way to hunt squirrels (facing a picked corn field). But you know that's funny, I have hunting turkeys that way!

the funniest thing happened to me last year. I hung a stand sept. 1 with no other stands around. the first night i hunted i noticed a stand on the trail I take to my stand about a hundred yards away on the base of the ridge i was hunting. so the next morning i got in there a little early just in case I didnt have to walk by anyone in the morning in their tree. well here he came in at dark fumbling around, then all settled and was quite. we had a ankle deep 20 foot wide creek inbetween us. well about 10 oclock i guess the sound of water rolling over the rocks gave him the urge to relieve himself. so i notice him shoot down his tree and run over towards the stream trying to unzip his zipper the whole way. I thought you gotta be kidding me, he's facing me and he is gonna pee. so I grabbed my trusty ole grunt call and waited, when I could hear that he was in mid pee, I let out three loud grunts coming from behind me towards him, like it was walking to him in the creek. well as you know it, he stopped in midpee and tryed to fumble around and grab his bow on the bank. he watched for a little while then decided to leave. I dont know if he saw my tree wiggling so much from laughing or not, but man it was hilarious. the poor fellow didn't even finish his duty

You have the best stories, Liv. That would have been hilarious to see!!! Of course, as Muddy will tell you, the biggest deer always show up while you're in the process of heeding the call of nature!

This actually scared the hell out of me. Last Sunday night Scott IC and I were out lighting deer when about 10pm we were rolling down the highway when we rolled by a body on the road shoulder. We looked at each other in disbelief and turned around. When we pulled up with the guy in the headlights, he didn't move. Now we were starting to worry so I called 911 and of course got cut off when the operator answered. If you don't know, 911 operators can pinpoint your location using GPS in you phone and when you get cut off/hang up they send all units ASAP. About that time this guy rolls over and tries to get up. (This is when I about loaded my pants.) Still unsure of the situation, I ask what's wrong(from inside the truck) and he says he needs help. I asked him if he got hit by a car and he says no, thankfully. He has me call his son while he explains that he left his wife and took off walking and eventually passed out from exhaustion. We started to hear sirens and the cops showed up so we explained the situation and they sent us on our way. What a night...

I think some of the strangest/funniest things that i have seen have been from the critters themselves.I once had a redtail hawk land only inches from above me.Two years ago on Thanksgiving I had a flock of turkeys fly up and roost in the same tree I was sitting in.
One time I had 2 rooster pheasants come running into a clearing cackling the whole way ,they chased each other around my tree and ran off.
Button bucks sometimes give up a pretty funny show.Last year I had one that came flying by my tree at mach 1.I thought something had spooked him ,until he came running back by from the other direction. He did this several times ,I almost fell out of my treestand I was laughing so hard.
another time i was sitting over a scrape with a very high licking branch.A button came up and stood in the scrape and tried to reach the branch. He was too short! He tried and tried but couldn't quite get up there.
Early in the season 2 years ago I had 2 bucks walk into the same area where I had seen the little guy on the scrape. One was a decent buck and the other was 3-4 inch spike. The bigger buck came in first and was browsing on some leaves.that ornery little dude came up from behind and poked that big one in the rear with his spikes.I could tell rut wasn't on yet because the bigger one just kept eating.
OA

That little spike that did all the runnin probably needed some prozac.
