One year I was in my stand when behind me I heard a stap! I looked back and a huge 8 pointer was coming up the trail towards me. He came to a stop about 10 yards from my tree. I had never been that close to a huge buck before. My heart was a pounding. He stood in a bunch of prickly ash so I couldn,t shoot. 10 minutes went by and needless to say I was getting pretty anxious. All of a sudden he bolted like he was shot out of a cannon. No shot at that boy. Then came the words I will never forget, " Did you see him!". He is lucky to be alive today. My friend had kicked the buck out of a spot he was hunting and thought he would come over to see if I had seen the huge buck run by. I try not to think about that day TOO MUCH!!!!!
