I got married 2 years ago on the opening day of duck season. Was obviously not thinking at the time, I was just agreeing with her on all the decisions. Usually not even knowing what I was agreeing to.
I must be getting old or have an addiction to feed . Home at 8:30 getting ready to hit the sack so I can hunt in the morning. Still pissed one of the nicest nights of the year and i was sitting in a resturant. Itook gravel on the way home and saw 4 bucks.
I had that same issue 2 years ago. We saw tons of deer on the way to the wedding and we actually stopped at a check in station to check out this guys buck that he shot. It was almost depressing to be in a suit that day instead of camo.
My sister-in-law got married on November 5th last year and I had to be an usher. I threatened to show up an hour late and still in my camo but the wife quickly changed my mind....
Then this year I'm told by the better half that we have dinner plans on November 5th to celebrate their one year anniversary. I told her I'm surprised they made it that long and I'll be in a tree anyway......Luckily I tagged out on the Friday before!
My cousin got married last year on the opening of MN Firearms season. I didnt attend, his new bride gave me some grief at a family funeral a few months later and I told her next time not get married during season and I wont miss it.
My girlfriend already told me we have a 2.5 month window to get married. She wont get married with snow on the ground, I wont get married after Aug. 15 {bear baiting opens and seasons after that} and I also refuse to get married when it could be over 80 degrees, which rules out most of July and August. Just gotta train them early.
now just think of all the hoops your going to have to jump through in the years to come.....just to go hunt the RUT......like Red Foreman always says: you...dumb-ass....lol............26 years ago I got married on the bow opener....10/11/1980
