Supplemental Feeding

For the guys that are giving their herd some supplemental feed, what are you using? I’ve heard about some pellets or additives that have vasodilators, anyone tried those? We already do what we can with browse and crops, I’m just looking for something to “supplement” the health of the herd on top of that. This farm is in Kansas.

If I was feeding high quality I would look for highest protein that had the additives.I fed Golden nugget berry flavored until price went up.They ate it really well.Real World also looks good

This plus 25% corn

I add these 2 below. Vasodilator & probiotic & it’s not much $ to add at all.
Can also see above has some garlic in it.
If u get ballpark of this- be rocking

With all of the above stuff…. I think it’s like $475 a ton delivered to my bulk bin.

Now I know why Smith was sold out of the Teague blend..lol It is good stuff and cheaper than the brand name protein pellets. It is usually $16 per bag.

Skip I have a guy in Ohio who adds nutrena beef finisher to his corn year round, he’d heard this from another farmer who claims he’s seeing the difference in both antlers and body size. Curious if you see any benefit here? I can’t see the label well enough to tell what’s in it…..
