Switched to Carbon Arrows

Hi guys,
Last week I caught some strange sickness. The symptoms were strange urges to shoot my bow and scout in the woods for endless hours. Any information on this disease would be appreciated... Do you know of anyone else experiencing such abnormal symptoms. Is this life threatening (yeah... for the deer

).

Anyway, I just switched to carbon arrows. So far I love them. My bow seems to shoot faster but I am having problems with consistant accuracy in the arrows. The bow seems to be accurate but once and a while an arrow seems to fly crooked. The arrows will stick in the target crooked. Should I lower my poundage? I already switched to 100 grain tips. Any other ideas?

A drop away rest fixed that problem for me

Other than that, I dont have a clue, maybe shooting form if only once in awhile one flies crooked, goodluck

What kind of arrows? What poundage are you shooting. Too much poundage can cause poor arrow flight not to mention can be very dangerous. Some of you're cheeper carbon arrows have a lot of inconsistant spines.I would recommend anyone making the change to let the local pro shop match you're arrows with you're bow.

The arrows are the "Whitetail" brand which I know isn't the biggest name brand but they seem to be decent quality. They are 6075's. I had 'em cut to length of course but I am thinking my bow poundage might just be too high. I am at around 65# with a single-cam which was perfect for my aluminums-but I wouldn't think that would be too much for carbons. I might do just that... bring it in and have the experts check it out.

I don't think it is a problem with my shooting form because even the arrows that are hitting where they are supposed to seem to fly a bit crooked through the air...

almost sounds like contact somewhere. either the rest, or cables, possibly. arrow spline could be a factor as well. i'm not familiar with your arrow brand, but you can find some good prices on gold tips on ebay
