Talk About Potential

Ghost

Life Member
Sorry for my lack of participation in the trail cam forum lately. Bowhunting took the front seat for awhile, but now I'm back to running cams until gun season starts up.

All I have to say after checking 5 cams tonight is, I wish I still had a bow buck tag in my pocket. If you have yet to fill your buck tag consider yourself lucky because the next week will be the best chance to catch a monster on the prowel for the last does coming into heat.

I had over 350 pictures in the last week.....many, many bucks crusing in daylight hours. I really am a believer in mid-day movement from years of bowhunting and running cams.

Thought I would feel safe sharing this picture...super young buck that needs some time to grow. Everyone has a different take on what they consider a shooter or not, and I'm not here to tell you what to shoot or what to be proud of. But, I personally would be sick to see this deer hanging at this age..."talk about potential!"

I also love the "unbroken" white throat patch.

Yep...2.5 year old...would be really cool if he was able to reach 5 or 6...

Looks pretty similar to a couple young guys I've caught. They've both got single split g2's opposite sides.

Like you Kent, it'd kill me to see one in the back of someone's truck.

Those are some long forked twos! It would be nice to have his sheds for the next 3 years to see his growth pattern before you put him to sleep.
