Was on my annual spring Texas pig hunt last week with my brother, son, nephew and two other friends. My brother and me left for the lease on Wednesday and by sundown I dumped an oinker with a bow. First with a bow BTW. Not very big but hey, a pig is a pig. I shot one more and as a group we had seven pigs, one dog and one bobcat. Lots of fun and memories.
An update on my brother. Last fall he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancriatic cancer. He has been through six month's of chemo and that dose has become ineffective. Now he is on plan B, a second and new chemo. There is no plan C. His best hope is this new chemo kills the cancer. Even though it is a terrible deblitating cancer he has remained positive and still talks of future plans despite the overwhelming odds against him. Last Sunday we said our goodbyes after a week and that was difficult for both of us so we both know he has a steep hill to climb. So once again I ask all my friends here to once a week or so say a quick prayer for Todd.
