Ouch! Hope he survives. I found a shed one year that had part of the skull attached that splintered off the skull, often wondered if he survived that. One thing for sure, if he did he'll have a freakish antler on thaat side.
My brother shot 1 like this during shotgun season. Puss and infection. The antler just flopped around freely. Bro said he could hear and see it flopping back and forth as the deer trotted towards him. I think it wanted to be put out of its misery. Dang tough animals.
