Pictures 3 and 4 say good to me. But then again I would rather be standing in the timber looking at it. What is this from did I miss another post???
 
no you didn't miss anything. I just thought it may be for an interesting read while the lucky guys/girls are out in the woods while the rest have to work....well kinda work....ok.....occupying space.
 
I have a hell of a time with blood trails do to a slight color blindness. Especially if the blood is dried. I'd be callin my buds for this one.

On a side note, I started shooting Snuffers this year and so far it's solved my problem.

Pic 2 looks like meat at the actual hit site. Pic 3 is hard to tell but could be part of a lung. Then I get lost because 4 and 5 don't show much blood and I would think that a hit that took out part of the lungs would be bleeding very heaviley very quickly. What is the whole point of the pics or is there something else we should know?
 
How far from where the shot was made are the pics?
What position was the deer in when shot? I.e. broad side, quartering away etc.. And what kind of angle?

Whithout knowing that, from the pics I would say bad.

bowmaker, meat is at the actual hit site. Pic 3 is indeed lung tissue. The whole point of this post is to just see how different everyones opinion can be and maybe some can learn something from this (including me).

HornTickler, the shot-10yds. the pics taken at point of impact (1, 2, 3, & 4) deer was broadside slightly quartering, you have to realize....it's me....scared of heights over 15'....that help the angle?? I too thought there should have been more blood.
 
this is where the depressing part of this post begins....you see right now I was thinking "alright....great blood" only problem.....my batteries in the camera were getting low....so do I continue this trail job on film or save for "the way I found him"...

I will say that the blood trail the last 30-40 yards was unbelievable, spraying out both sides of the trail and was incredible. I shot him Sunday morning at 8:30am. Not a monster by any means but that blood trail was a great experience.
