The closest i've been to a deer

I just had to share this experience i had last week
I was out sitting in the corner of one of our cornfields last friday night waiting for the big one, watching 3 does feeding about 100 yards away. As it starts getting closer to sunset, they start moving closer and closer up the fenceline. One comes in to about ten yards away, one jumps over to the other side of the fence, and the other stays about 20 yards off. The wind is blowing right towards them and none of them have a clue I'm there. I hear a little rustling behind me and figure its just the doe that hopped the fence, then i hear a deep grunt that sounds like its right in my ear(he must have been sniffing me through the fence). Well, it scared me a little, so i jump a little

and the top barb wire on the fence I'm sitting against just twangs(he must have caught his antler in the fence when he and I both jumped). I turn my head slowly and see a decent 10 point buck

that had just backed off to about 10 yards. It was too dark to even try for a shot so i just sat for what seemed like an hour bfore the buck chased the does off. That really got my heart pumping, but i hate to think what the buck would have done to me if that big fencepost wasnt between me and him.
