Hope this works. I put rubber gloves on and moved a bunch of their trash and dead mice and voles to the new house. Built it out of scrap today, set pole in ground 4' with concrete. Hopefully ok in the wind. Dimensions of box/entrance per Iowa DNR website. Trail cam mounted to box blind facing owl box. We shall see????

Moved it to new box. It was just laying on floor of box blind.... In a different spot than yesterday..... Not in a nest?

My owl house was made far easier!!! Buddy accidentally shot his gun through window & continued to "not fix it". Real treat! Those blinds, a summer of owls - OMG!!!!!!!!!!! That's some nasty stuff!!!
Those eggs look delicious! Are you selling any curb-side at your stand? Gotta pay the bills & great lil business!

Left all the windows open about 2" to try to air it out. It STINKS! Hauled my generator and shop vac out there and cleaned up all the poop. May have to replace all the carpet.

Ahh, the things a mother will do for her owlets.

I would absolutely remove that carpet AND spray down the affected area with a bleach solution...otherwise, this summer heat will cook that crap and you will be sorry when you go to sit in it this fall.

I’m guessing the fine would be much similar to you relocating a bald eagle nest because you didn’t want them nesting on your box blind......

That's pretty cool that they took to their new home so fast. Raised a orphan barred owl once several years ago. He was free till he got on a transformer. Could eat 5 mice in one meal.
