I have been hunting a small piece of ground for 8 years. There is maybe 50- acres with 3 or 4 acres of trees. The city owns it.
Every year the guy across the river spends most evenings trying to scare deer from me. Driving his 4 wheeler up and down the river, running his chainsaw, trapping, banging tools around in his pickup he went as far as building a 3 sided shed over the top of a main trail that crossed the river. He has at least 700 acres of his own ground and he has to mess with me. I guess I might shot one of "HIS" deer!!
Last year I started talking to him and thought we were on good terms. I told him I had only shot few deer and he acted like he wasn't going to bother me anymore. I told him I'm the onlyone who hunts it and I'm sure he knew that. He didn't bother me once last year.
Anyway the people who run the airport called me today to let me know there building a overflow pond next to a piece of the nieghbors ground. They have to tear out an access road to this guys land. He worked out a deal with the city attorney to get exclusive bow hunting rights to the airport ground. He got it to so I get to get my stands this weekend.
There are some big deer that run this river. I never hunted a fence line because I didn't think that it was very nice. I WILL BE NOW! I dont care if I have to pay someone I will hunt his fencelines somewhere.
At first I was sick to my stomach and now I see red. What a PRICK!
