Just a note from my side of the timber... Saw a lot more movement tonight....and started early, around 4:30. Got to finally see who was destroying my west ridge too!! A 150in 10!! Tried everything to get his attention....grunt, doe bleat, rattling... he was too interested in the doe he was fixed on. ( Time to bust out the decoy) It's here boys! Good luck!

I agree I watched a heck of a nice buck this evening that would go 160-165 class. He wasn’t in the immediate vicinity of any does or other bucks, but he was posturing, humping up his back and urinating down his legs, walking around like the king of the corn field.

went in a little late last night about 4:30pm and spooked a doe went and set in my stand any how about a half hour later 130+ class buck came by working scrapes then 4 does he took off following them and then from behind me a much bigger buck came over the ridge about 75 yards away then i'd say about 15 minutes later all hell broke lose those bucks where going at it. It was a good hunt for being so windy

I watched three different bucks this morning, all cruising, all with their nose to the ground, and all 2 1/2 years or younger. Things are going to start getting good this week, glad to see that the weather is going to stay cool.

I had a yearling buck chase a doe nearly under my tree as I was climbing down in the dark last night. I had two 2 1/2 yr old bucks chasing does around my stand for an hour this morning.

Spent the morning in a deer stand in decatur county. Saw a total of 16 deer and dad got his heart racing when he stepped into a covey of quail at 6 am. LOL! anyways 3 of the 16 were bucks, 2 dinkers (one was about a 4" spike on both sides) and one very respectable 8 that would have gone around 140" prolly (good buck for me cuz i have yet to shoot an antlered buck with my bow)....tried to stop him in the 4 times i saw him but he was on the tail of a doe the ENTIRE time i saw them.....he was really running her hard. Ruts about to get kicked up into a higher notch boys and Kat

It’s time! Although I live within the city limits I have a strip of woods in my back yard. I can generally gauge the phase of the rut by the deer activity I see from the back window. It’s the same every year – a couple basket racks will harass does off and on, but once things get hot the big boys appear and take over the show. Since Tuesday I have been watching a couple young ones pushing does. Well tonight I was out raking and looked up to see about a 140â€, 8 point chasing the does. Even better is that he wasn’t chasing all five of the does that were there, just one in particular. He did a lot of posturing to intimidate the forky following them around. It is time to be in the stand!

It would be a great week to have vacation…. oh wait, I am on vacation this week! Everybody do their “Don’t Rain on Fletch†dance so I can get some hunting in. Good luck to everyone – this is the time of year we all wait for.

It's definately here!! I almost got a bruiser tonight, a small buck came into the picture and chased the doe back to the big boy, who was only yards from stepping out into the field, i was in

Had 13 different bucks come by in two sits this weekend. Rattled in a 150" 10 that just wouldn't commit. He hung up at about 60 yards and destroyed some trees. The little guys are all running around trying to figure out what to do next, it's kind of funny. Good luck to all!!

GOOD LORD, you guys are making me antsy!! I dont start my vacation until Wednesday, cant hardly wait. But I got the next 11 days to hit it hard. Good luck to all.

I show 3-buck last night and they all came from the same spot. One was a wall hanger, One was a shooter and the other was a basket rack. The wall hanger could hear my calling but all he did was rub on every tree. The basket came out when the wall hanger was still around and came right into my calling and the shooter I didn't even call to him because I didn't want to be tempted. It was a great night and I need to move my stand about 50yards and hopefully he will be going down next weekend.

Yesterday morning, I was turkey hunting in a bottom area and heard something on the hillside above me. Wind wasn't right and the hillside was very open, so I didn't move close enough to see them clearly, but there were two bucks really going at it. Horns crashing and scuffling through the dry leaves. Lasted about 20 minutes. Found a good trail into the area where I plan to hang a stand.

I nearly hit the ditch 1/2 mile east of my house last night bringing my boy back from trick or treating. A dandy buck crossed right in front of me, nose to the ground. He was nice enough to stop in the ditch to allow me to back up and get the lights on him, 160-170 5x5. He was crossing into a doe feeding area, never see bucks there until this time of year.

Had a doe come through about 5:20 with a 2 year old 100sh looking 8 pointer grunting on her trail the whole way.LET THE GAME"S BEGIN!!!

Had a small 8 chasing a doe in circles around my tree all morning Sunday. She wanted no part of him pestering her.

Here we go!
