Things are heating up!!!

really picking up here in ohio also! last night i saw 47 deer on my drive home, about 10 bucks total, half dandies, half little one. actually witnessed one dandy buck chasing a doe so close to her hind quarters that if she would have slammed on her breaks, i would have gotten to see my very first 8 legged deer

I read this last night and smiled and on top of that had a hard time sleeping,(dreaming about the WR buck)or should I say thinking about that WORLD RECORD BUCK

Well hit the stand early and stayed all rainin day

didn't see a thing

But I'm hard headed, I'll be back there in the morning

Things are on fire here in clayton co. Ever since halloween I have seen major chaseing by dinks, some 100in. nice ones, and yesterday morning 6:45 a 160-170 in beauty busted me at 50 yds. He chased the doe right past my stand. He stood still for at least 10 min without moveing trying to locate me, and keep an eye on the doe. Finally he had enough and did the old stiff legged nervous trot back in the direction he came from. I felt as if i had been kicked in the marbles, but it was still awesome to see such a great buck. I just wish i could have put an arrow in him.

Saw two chasing does in S.E. Ia today on my way to work. One dink and one HOGG!!!! Both were cruising at about 7:30 am near a busy road, you can tell they are loosing brain cells fast! Makes it hard to go to work.

Saw a nice NT @ 3:30. Unfortunately, too far away. Then he tortured me by laying down out of range. One other buck was 150-160 range and another was bigger than him. At one time, they were all three hanging around together.....nt was laying down again(saw him limping a bit earlier) while the other two chased the little bucks away. Very entertaining....just nothing on the ground! Can't wait for tomorrow......
