For the sake of internet argument :way:

I'd say they'd been there a decent amount of time, maybe not weeks, but a few days at least. Look at the eyes on some of the close up pics, they're sunken in pretty bad. Also the hair on the heads just looks funky. Either way, good guess on the one guy being a trapper, though he could be just getting to scouting that area? I dunno, neat to see pics like that. 2 locked bucks is somewhat "common" but I've only seen 2 situations where 3 were locked up.
