Pharmer has a pretty good since of humor and I replied to his message and told him I thought I was the only one on this site with my mind in the gutter inferring that his is there sometimes too, but I forgot about you and the " Oh Deer" joke. I'm sure it was a tick bite because in college I was very selective and always went on dates with respectable women.

I've read that the match approach and any other "torture" type ways to remove them is not the right thing to do. The same article recommended covering the area with the mouth of a bottle with rubbing alcohol and then tip the bottle up so the ticks back end is "swimming".. do this for a couple of minutes and the tick will let go and float into the alcohol.
