Ticks and Pets

Hey everyone, I was at the Vet up in Solon today and they informed me that Lymes Disease is getting pretty prevalant in animals in the area. They have already had 60+ animals test positive for Lyme this year and are recommending that if your dog/cat is outside a decent amount of the time that they be checked for Lyme, it is a cheap test and if it comes back positive they can take care of it with a months worth of antibiotics. If they come back negative they also have a vaccine against Lyme for animals that is effective. Anyhow, I thought that I would give those of you in my area a heads up as this is just one Vet Clinic speaking and 60+ cases seems like alot to me.

If I would have known that it was my 1000th post I promise it wouldn't have been about ticks
