Tractor Food Plot Implements- need suggestions

Ok, I bought a 50 hp JD 4wd tractor with loader. Haven't even used it yet BUT I have been buying implements. Here's what I got and I really would GREATLY APPRECIATE your input on what else I need and a question or two on what I have (these are big items and very important purchases to me!!!! and the deer will thank you for your advice when they are big and fat (before I shoot them)). Planting corn/beans, clover/alf-alfa, turnips, rye/winter wheat, spraying and mowing native grasses. Maybe 10 acres a year of food plots and maintanence on 40 acres of native grasses.

-New 665 5&1/2 foot JD rotary tiller
-2 disks- 1 is a 6' the other a 10'
-3 pt sprayer with boomless nozzle (60 gallon)

-7' Rhino mower (the heavy duty model)- I need weight on the front- would it work to put bricks in my loader or something silly like that????

-1240 JD planter, 4-row. I've asked Dbtree about it. It has plates. It's in good shape. I just want it to obviously put beans and corn in ground. Do you feel like this will do the job really well OR should I bag it and buy a 7000? Easy to switch (and find plates) to go from corn to beans???? If this thing is gonna be a headache- I'll get a 7000. This is pry the area I need to most help on.

-Want a Cultipacker- can't find them and I really don't have time to go to auctions. I guess I might look around at farmer's places I know to try and get lucky- could watch newspaper BUT that's a rare shot, I suppose I could run an ad. Any suggestions appreciated!!!!

-Buying a 3 pt fertilizer spreader, probably just get one from Tractor supply or orschlein's or something. Any suggestions? Those seem ok?

What else do I need???? Thank you a ton!!!

Your loader will add some more weight but some guys pour cement into a steel box with hooks to hang on the front.

JD should have suitcase weights to hang on the front also: 42 lb. Quik-Tatch

You can certainly get by with the one you have but if you ever use a 7000 you'll wish youhad that in the first place. A no-till 7000 will allow you to just plant without tilling. No need for plate changes either.

Keep searching online and warch auction sale bills ahead of time. You can always just tell the auctioneer what price you'll pay and let him buy it without you being there.

Check smaller rurual area ag implement dealers also.

TSC or some such will be fine IMO
