Tractor parts?

As an owner of compact to mid sized tractors and user of various attachments, 3 point, pull behind, loader mounted, etc. I find the need to buy various hitch pins, clevises, bushings, etc, etc, and have been having more difficulties finding what I am looking for in the last year or so. Around here, Orsheln used to be my go to farm supply store...only they got swallowed up by Tractor Supply and Bomgaar's...and both of those stores carry much less inventory and selection of these types of devices.

Is there a better source for these types of items? Tractor Supply seems to have a much narrower selection of sizes, parts, etc and Bomgaar's seems to be out of stock on about 50% of the items. Harrumph.

If you have time to wait for shipping, Shoup has been my go-to for all of that stuff. I'm pretty sure if you had a frame you could build entire new machines with their parts.

I lost a pin on a tree puller earlier this spring and couldn't find what I wanted at TSC or Thiesen's, so I bought a pin and a large washer that I welded over one end.

Had a mower deck spindle repaired at Charlie's Welding yesterday. Half price of buying OEM new. He had bearings on hand for it as well, not sure what type of inventory he carries.

I've been to Bowie's in Tipton and the Franzen Family for older tractor parts. Lots of pins, arms and linages might be interchangeable.

Not sure if you have a Theisons close but they usually have a pretty good supply on hitch pins/hoses/hydro fittings.....etc

Buy a JD and go to your local dealership where parts are stocked. And have the option for next day.
