Caught otter number 2 on the season today. Pretty excited as I’ve only caught them in eastern iowa before, these are the first two I’ve gotten in Greene county.

Otters swim so damn fast! I’ve never seen one not suitcased in a conibear. Almost every beaver I catch is perfect, right behind the head. I’m glad to catch them in conibears….they are insane in a foot trap if they’re not drowned.

The DNR is offering a $400 reward for live-caught foxes that are healthy and used for the study.

I spent the week doing tsi work in the timber so I decided to run a few snares and do a little calling while I was down there. It's not enough to make a dent but it was pretty fun.
