Season Premiere of "Best and Worst of" Features Wheelchair-Bound Barta


NEW YORK, N.Y. - VERSUS will air the season premiere of The Best and Worst of Tred Barta on Friday, February 26, at 10 p.m. ET, which is the first episode filmed since Barta was struck by a sudden illness leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. In the episode, Barta travels to Guatemala and attempts to catch sailfish on ultra light 2-pound test. The trip proves to be very difficult for Barta, who is now in a wheelchair, but allows him to put his theory of doing things "The Hard Way, the Barta Way" into practice.

I'm not into outdoor TV too much but I did enjoy Barta. Mostly becuase of his personality I think. He can be very funny. I gotta give him a bunch of credit for continuing his adventures and sure wish him the best.

The man never quits and has alot of courage. Seeing how he handled what happened to him is inspiring and I look up to him for reasons unrelated to hunting. Good for him

I always loved that show. He knows his stuff and really does do it the hard way. I was wondering why it went off the air, thats to bad, hopefully he can get back into the swing of things.
