TreeStand, No SniperWagon

I see nothing awesome about that. There is a freakin TV inside....give me a break! That's NOT hunting!

why would people use one? most country people could shoot deer out their bathroom if they wanted too.

I think it is a pretty smart Idea really, I don't think I could ever hunt out of one unless it was 50 below zero, but I've watched many big bucks walk by farm equipment out in the fields.

Just looking at the pictures seemed to suggest it was for retirees, at least to me. There's a crossbow hanging next to the lounge chair... then in the other pics is an ancient old Whitetail II bow and a old muzzleloader. Seems taht the hunter is enjoying his retirement watching the morning news, sipping coffee, and hunting... all from his grain hauler.

Side note, why would a person spend $45 on plans when that looks "reasonably" simple to do on your own?

My old man actually bought the plans and made one. All I can say is, yeah it looks simple, but the premium options that the plan shows you (like windows that drop quickly and the door closer for just a couple) have saved us ALOT of work in figuring it all out.

I personally can't think of any reason to freeze my butt off in a waving tree ever again. Heck, we even threw in a catalytic heater since the season is always soo darned cold.

And for what we have saved on layers of Thinsulate and cold weather gear, it more than paid for itself already.

(I wondered about the TV myself and I guess it was a trail cam- but hey, it's not in mine!)

Hunt Hard- or hunt smart?

Material for a new billboard along I-380 but I thought it was missing the ISU logo.

Wow, that would be awesome! I might have to make me one of those!!!

It's not a terrible idea, but it looks WAY too top heavy. Rated at only 25 mph for pulling... I agree the TV is a bit much. Now as far as insulating a hunter from the dreadful Iowa subzero wind chills during late muzzle loader season

The one i built was like the one in the ad, 6'3" inside since I use bow as well as shotgun. The instructions say if you lower the roof for sitting shots only you could modify it for roadspeeds of 45-50mph, but heck, ours will only be in the fields around my Dad's farm.

It is cooler that heck though- check it out since $45 is a steal at any rate!

It would only be top heavy if you don't have enough beer in the gravity box....or salt....I mean corn....aaaahhhhh.....nevermind.

I think you guys have zeroed in on my hunting grounds, First I see the ugly butt stand on the other thread. Now this.. There is an outfitter in my neck of the woods who buys old pickup trucks for zip then builds similar blinds on the back.. Just drives and parks them where he wants. I can show you a couple of them most anytime. Don't know but I am sure he kills deer from them

The only thing that is wrong with those system (having tracked elk to a good site via truck) is that you have to set up down wind from them or they smell ya. Ths thing is tall enough that you are outta that scent level.
