Trespassing Law Change????

All, I have a question! The local CO said he had just attended a meeting to change the way the current law reads about trespassing when it comes to trailing dogs. He mentioned that it may end up where the hunter will be charged with trespassing if their dog is on ground where the hunter does not have permission. This is mainly due to the complaints coming from private land owners dealing with Coyote Hunting. Anybody know anymore on this subject???? I think this would be a tough law to word correctly! I would assume this would include bird dogs also.

Doesn't seem to be to fair and it would be hard to word.Sometimes it takes a dog to find a downed animal. Also how could you mistake a lab for a coyote?

I think he meant the coyote dogs running the coyotes across private ground, don't know for sure. It would be a hard law to obey sometimes you can't help it with the coyote dogs.

I dont want to step on anyones toes here but I sure hope that law passes for sure.. I have been fighting this problem for serveral years and The coyote hunters just think they have the right to go anywhere that they want to, they always have the excuse that they can not control the path of there dogs. I say go out and buy a electronic caller and call the coyotes to you.. Goes back to the old saying " HUNTING WITH PERMISSION ONLY " I have been burnt to many times on my own ground sitting in a tree stands early in the mornings, "prime time" and all of the sudden You start hearing the dogs and see the deer running for cover. Another day down the drain.... Sorry if some do not believe my same thoughts but again they are just my thoughts....
