Thanks DG. Yes, this is from just inside the gate going up to the cabin. Two steel posts and a wire cage to protect a spruce from just this happening. The way the ground was tore up it must have been quite the struggle before he broke off his antler. The way my year is going, this is as close as I'm getting to some bone. The top of the tree looks OK tho. so maybe it will be alright.
