ive got 4 of them wildgame invations 1.3 cameras. their battery life isnt very good at all. I thought about wiring up a 6 vilt battery to them so they can last longer. they run on c batteries so i didnt know if i could just souder one wire to each side in the battery holes. one on one negative and then one on the positive on the other side. Has anybody done this to to this camera or something like it? would like some input. i dont want to buy more cameras!

Check out Cabelas, I believe they make a 6v pack specifically made for those cams..

If not, I know they make the 6v packs and i'm sure they would work.

U know how to sodder (sp) ? Take it apart look for a pos and neg and sodder wires to those two spots. If ur confused don't try it :)

In theory you should be able to. It comes down to making sure you get the right connections. Post some photos of the camera and I might be able to help you out. Take some close ups of the battery compartment.

Yes you can

What you are talking about doing is possible, but not as simple as you think. There are circuits within the cameras that run on less than 6V, so the trick is to have 4 C batteries in the camera, even while it's hooked up to your external home brew battery extension. As long as your external battery has solid charge, the C batteries in the camera will act as conductors and pass the voltage along without draining. The downside to a setup like this is that moving the camera is extra work. I did it last season with a couple of ATV batteries and it worked just fine. My advise is to use alligator clips or jumpers, rather than soldering. Just in case you decide to sell the cameras at some point. Most people won't pay a thing for something so blatantly modified.
