Turkey Choke Tube SBEII

I just use the Benelli full choke tube that came with the gun. Use Winchester Xtended #6's (they are pricey) and this combo just smashes them. I tried Comp n Choke and a couple other tubes made for the SBII but they did not perform nearly as well. :way:

I now shoot the Hevi 13 magnum blend which is a blend of 5, 6 & 7 shot. It is cheaper than the Nitros and seems to shoot as good as the Nitros thru my gun

What kind of range are you looking to get?

I patterned my 870 with hevi 13 @ 40yrds and was very satisfied with it. This was with 2 3/4.

I have no idea on the range to be honest. I'll pattern the gun 20-60 yards just for curiosity probably.

I have heard great things about the Primos jelly head. I use an HS undertaker right now. Whatever you do, use hevi shot. The stuff is unreal and just flat out wicked. I have shot birds side by side with buddies and there pellets didn't even penetrate through the feathers. This stuff goes through the feathers and right into them. I have shot a pile of birds in that 50 to 70 yard range that I never dreamed of. Every one of them was DRT. Goodluck with th gun. I still can't picture you turkey hunting with a gun unless your going out of state.

I'm thinking I'll be using higher quality shot on turkeys and maybe on geese. Ducks will get the cheap stuff.

Don't have the SBE, but the Rhino chokes are the same size for the Benelli and Beretta, and I have to admit that thing is down right dirty. Shot 5 turkeys this year, 4 with the gun and that thing flat out smacked them. Choke came for free with the gun, not sure I would have ever dropped $100 on it before, but after using it for a year wouldn't hesitate buying one.

Primos Jelly Head is great, and so is the HS Undertaker. Winchester Supreme 5's backed up with two 4s incase you miss...

I've always been a hastings 640 choke fan. Great luck with those, but you better be dead on 15 yards and under, your patterns is about the size of a baseball.
