Turkey Vest

I am in need of a new turkey vest. Maybe

The one I have has to be 15 years old at least.
Looking through my spring turkey Cabelas catalog the other night
I did not know there was so much to choose from.
Which ones out there are you guys using?

yeah, i already have to use my 2200 to carry my blind on so i just throw my calls in the backpack.

I agree with you guys totally on the Badlands I do that also.

Sometimes when the birds need a quick lesson I like to run and gun them to. The turkey vest helps with my calls and also they usually have a cushion to pad my big fanny.

I see they have a lot of different ones out there and was wondering what was the best bang for my buck.

I honestly don't know much about the current turkey vests Tony, my opinion is that if the one you have is working, doesn't have calls, and you're happy with it, why change?

Things I used to look for in a vest were a fold down WATERPROOF butt pad, plenty of pockets, the ability to cinch down calls tightly so they don't move, the ability to pack a couple decoys if need be, and adjustability in the shoulders.

The only vest I've owned I bought back in high school, it did the job I wanted with very little cost. When we ended up using guns in Nebraska a few years ago I still just used my 2200 for runnin and gunnin
