Two Age Helps

Usually I'm pretty good at guessing the ages but for some reason these two bucks have me stumped some pictures they look old and some the look young.

First up a buck we call wide load:










Then Titus:







 
Right now, I'd call them both 3 year olds. Send me some pics in another month when they fill out and I may change that stance.
 
Id say they are both 3.5
They just dont have the characteristics that a 4.5+ yr old would show. This time of year can be a hard time to judge them unless you have prior history.
I look at their belly/back/ front shoulders and then the mass they carry at the bases compared to their head and head shape.
Sometimes its hard if you dont have history with them or known older deer to compare them to
 
It's hard to judge the first buck he could definitely be 4.5. But Titus i think is 3.5 in another year or two he could blow up to something real nice
